Raytheon UK is seeking a Production Manager to join our Manufacturing team on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract at Glenrothes. As Production Manager, you will be a key leading figure within a customer focused cross-functional team and will be responsible for the manufacture of a range of electronic and electro-mechanical products, managing a team of Production Supervisors, Associates and Engineers. Driving excellent teamwork and flawless execution in delivery, quality, safety, and cost. This role will fully be on-site joining a working environment where everyone can grow and contribute as part of a successful, inclusive, high performing culture. You will largely be based in Glenrothes, however you may be required to support our sister site in Livingston, dependent on business requirements. You must be eligible and willing to gain BPSS clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Control Account Manager (CAM) for the Manufacturing function
- Control of touch labour Hours Per Unit, and other manufacturing budgets
- Development and execution of production plans to achieve customer on-time delivery
- Management of high mix, and frequently changing priorities using Lean Manufacturing concepts
- Employee Performance Development
- Ownership of all safety procedures
- Driver of process and quality improvements utilising RTX CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence)
Required Skills and Experience
- Relevant years' experience in a Production Management, Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Operations related role
- Qualified to Degree or Diploma level in a Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Operations related discipline
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience in an Electronics / Electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
- Experience in management of budget versus bid
- Highly effective people management skills
- Highly effective organisational and communication skills
- A highly effective, disciplined approach in the work environment
- Experience in using SAP / shopfloor control systems
- Experience in EVMS (Earned Value Management System)
