ARINCDirect\’s Global Field Services team are strategically based around the globe, to ensure our Business Aviation customers have local onsite technical support when they need it. The team is staffed with highly skilled, dedicated professionals with many years of experience in the aviation industry.
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Field Service Engineer to join the team. Reporting to the Global Field Services Manager, the successful candidate will have the flexibility and autonomy to manage their own workload supporting our Business Aviation customers onsite, throughout the EMEA region.
What you will do:
- Provide remote and onsite technical support, to help troubleshoot, test and configure Datalink, Satcom and Cabin Network systems for ARINCDirect services
- Act as primary technical support contact for specific customers/regions and be responsible for any technical issues raised; be able to establish and grow strong customer relationships at all corporate levels.
- Able to demonstrate a logical and well developed troubleshooting methodology, cultivated from years of on-aircraft experience. Liaising with various equipment OEMs when necessary, to resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support and guidance for customer modifications, upgrades and equipment installations.
- Assist with Technical Support team coverage when necessary, to ensure customers receive the best possible support experience from our Technical Centre of Excellence.
- Provide support and advice to the sales team; engage in a technical sales role when required.
- Conduct in-depth technical training to customers in a variety of training environments, with a high standard of presentation skills, remotely or at Customer premises.
- Help to compile and maintain Configuration / Troubleshooting Guides and Knowledge Articles, ensuring the group\’s technical resources are kept up to date.
- Maintain level of expertise on all OEM\’s datalink, satcom and cabin network equipment, in order to ensure swift resolution of customer issues.
- Maintain familiarity with all ARINCDirect services to enable discussions with existing and prospective customers to promote all of the company\’s offerings.
- Be able to work on own initiative, managing own travel and support requirements, build good relationships with other team members and foster a strong mutually supportive attitude promoting teamwork across the whole Technical Centre of Excellence.
- Develop strong working relationships with local MROs/Service Centres to help drive new business development in the region.
- Assist our Collins Avionics CSE counterparts whenever necessary, demonstrating the depth of the wider Collins\’ Technical support offering to our customers.
Skills / Qualifications you must have:
- Proven relevant experience working with aircraft avionics systems.
- Expertise in Satcom and cabin networking systems
- Professional in appearance and manner
- Candidate must be able to travel (up to 75%) with short notice to a customer location within the EMEA region.
