Raynet is seeking a patient, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with their education and personal development. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff, families and other professionals to provide personalised support that helps learners participate, communicate and achieve their agreed outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- The Teaching Assistant will provide one-to-one and small-group learning support to children and young people, including learners with autism, communication difficulties, learning disabilities and other special educational needs.
- The role will involve supporting literacy, numeracy, communication, functional life skills, attention, engagement and emotional regulation.
- The successful candidate will prepare learning activities and resources under the teacher's direction, encourage independence and confidence, and support learners to participate meaningfully in their education and community.
- The Teaching Assistant will be expected to follow individual education plans, risk assessments and behaviour-support strategies.
- They will record progress, observations and significant information accurately and communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
