We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operative to join our Hydrophobic Manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role within a cleanroom environment, where you will be responsible for producing high-quality Intraocular Lenses that help improve people’s vision worldwide, while ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and in line with company procedures. You will be working at our state-of-the-art HQ in Worthing, West Sussex. This is a full-time permanent role, worked in 12-hour shifts between 7am to 7pm in 4 on, 4 off rotations. You will earn £28,883 (annual salary of £25,783 plus £3100 shift allowance).
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and fill moulds with polymer before placing them into exposure machines to set the material.
- Cure lenses using both cold and hot wash machines.
- Process lenses through a vacuum oven to stabilise and complete the manufacturing process.
- Measure, inspect and sort lenses into the correct power categories.
- Operate production machinery and associated process equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions and training provided by experienced technicians.
- Complete batch documentation and process records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work within a controlled change environment, ensuring compliance with company quality standards.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and support new ways of working.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness within the production area.
Please note that due to the nature of this role, you are required to wear full PPE including a clean room suit, head cover, face mask, and gloves to maintain cleanliness and safety.

- Previous experience working in production (desirable)
