The Regional Sales Manager North will lead commercial development, ensuring sales excellence, managing and measuring performance with an overriding objective to achieve sales targets. Reporting into the UK Sales Director, the Regional Sales Manager North is required to develop and lead a team with the overriding objective to achieve sales commitments across the respective territories. In addition to supporting and developing the territory managers, a key part of this role is to focus on driving success across NHS and Independent sector Key accounts across the region.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Implementation of UK Strategy to ensure focus on driving growth of Rayner’s Surgical product portfolio
  • Apply strong commercial business and financial acumen to grow the region
  • Coaching and development of the sales team in line with company objectives and strategy
  • Conduct regular Sales Team field visits in line with development plans and supporting meetings with Key Stakeholders across the region
  • Conduct regular business reviews with the sales team to ensure activity and objectives fall in line with the respective sales targets
  • Keep up to date with new/current products, competitor products, clinical data, and be a “technical expert” in the cataract and refractive market segment
  • Attend congresses / exhibitions and build client relationships to leverage business opportunities
  • Support and organise quarterly Sales Meetings in conjunction with the UK Sales Director
  • Develop and implement Key account plans of target Key accounts on the region across the NHS and independent sector

What Experience Do You Need:

  • Experience selling into NHS and private hospital environment
  • Experience within Ophthalmology sector and IOLS/Phacoemulsification equipment
  • Knowledge of NHS and Private healthcare landscape
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Team management experience, as a motivated and self-starting leader
  • Sales management experience within medical device sector
  • Educated to Degree level (desirable)
  • ABHI and MIA Qualified or in process (desirable)
