They provide dedicated teams supporting the conveyancer across onboarding, sales and post-completion.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or non-qualified conveyancer who is confident managing residential property transactions from instruction through to completion and beyond. You will manage a caseload of approximately 80 files, supported by a wider operational structure which includes a front-end sales team, dedicated onboarding support and post-completion operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload of approximately 80 matters.
  • Handle transactions from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion.
  • Deal with a range of work including sales, purchases, freehold and leasehold matters, remortgages, transfers of equity and other residential property transactions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, estate agents, referrers and other stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the front-end sales and onboarding teams to ensure new matters are progressed efficiently.
  • Liaise with the post-completion team to ensure a smooth handover and completion of matters.
  • Provide clear, proactive and commercially aware communication throughout the transaction.
  • Identify and resolve issues quickly to keep transactions moving.
  • Meet agreed performance and instruction targets while maintaining high levels of client service.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

Performance Expectations

The successful candidate will initially be expected to build towards approximately 20 new instructions per month, with the longer-term target being to complete around 14-16 new matters per month by month six, alongside effectively managing the existing caseload. The role is relationship-heavy, so the ability to develop trust with clients and professional referrers, communicate confidently and deliver a consistently high level of service is essential.

Experience & Skills

  • Essential
    • Previous experience fee earning within residential conveyancing.
    • Confident managing a caseload with a high degree of autonomy.
    • Strong understanding of the residential conveyancing process from instruction through to completion.
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
    • A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
    • Comfortable working to targets and performance expectations.
  • Desirable
    • Qualified or non-qualified candidates will be considered.
    • Experience using LEAP.
    • Experience using Perfect Portal.
    • Experience working within a modern, team-based conveyancing model.
    • Experience dealing directly with estate agents, referrers and other professional introducers.
