The Team
The successful candidate will join a collaborative and supportive residential conveyancing team. The team environment promotes engagement, shared expertise, and a positive working culture.
The Role
- Managing client communications via phone, email, and in person
- Maintaining strong relationships with referrers and internal stakeholders
- Using and updating case management systems
- Preparing quotes and instruction letters
- Drafting contract packs and ordering searches
- Liaising with solicitors, brokers, and estate agents
- Managing property transactions from instruction through to completion and post-completion
- Handling freehold and leasehold matters, new builds, shared ownership, remortgages, and transfers of equity
- Reviewing title documents, mortgage offers, and search results
- Raising enquiries and reporting to clients
- Ensuring compliance with AML, data protection, and firm policies
- Exchanging contracts and handling completions
- Managing Land Registry processes, SDLT returns, requisitions, invoicing, and file archiving
Required Knowledge & Experience
- Strong experience in residential property, particularly within the London market
- Knowledge of complex leasehold structures and relevant legislation
- Proven ability to manage transactions independently from instruction to completion
- Experience drafting and reviewing legal documentation
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and best practice in conveyancing
- Experience managing financial aspects of transactions
- Relevant legal qualification (Law Degree, LPC, or equivalent)
- Strong client service skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with referrers (e.g. estate agents, brokers)
