To support the Head of Learning & Development in delivering an effective, business-aligned L&D strategy. This role provides a proactive, inclusive and professional service to colleagues across the firm - advising managers and employees on learning solutions that build capability, enhance performance and contribute to organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Learning Needs & Planning: Partner with the business, HR team and Head of L&D to understand learning needs and shape annual learning plans. Conduct Training Needs Analyses using appraisal insights and recommend appropriate learning and development interventions. Support the delivery of the annual L&D plan, including classroom programmes, digital learning and development initiatives.
- Learning Management & Administration: Support the effective management of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate records, smooth workshop coordination and a positive learner experience. Liaise with external training partners and professional bodies to coordinate courses, qualifications and exam bookings. Work with the Finance team to ensure timely invoice processing and alignment with the L&D budget.
- Design, Delivery & Evaluation: Design and deliver engaging learning content, materials and resources (including eLearning), working collaboratively with subject matter experts. Coordinate internal and external training events and CPD seminars, ensuring they are inclusive, relevant and cost-effective. Prepare learning materials such as visual aids, handouts and workbooks. Implement evaluation processes to measure learning outcomes and effectiveness, using feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Reporting & Compliance: Produce monthly and quarterly training reports for the business and the Executive Committee. Support the maintenance of CPD records for all colleagues, including monthly spot checks and reporting. Maintain accurate procedural documentation for all L&D activities. Lead the coordination of the firmwide apprenticeship programme. Lead the coordination of the mentoring programme, ensuring smooth administration and a positive participant experience.
Qualifications & Experience: Ideally 3+ years’ experience in an L&D coordination or advisory role within a dedicated L&D function. Experience within a financial or professional services environment is beneficial. Familiarity with a range of HR and learning systems.
