This role is offered as an initial 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC).

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for shaping and delivering data-driven digital marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, engagement, and commercial growth across Charles Stanley Direct and Raymond James Wealth Management.

This role will lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of performance marketing activity across paid search, paid social, affiliate, and app marketing channels, working closely with agency partners and internal stakeholders to maximise campaign effectiveness and return on investment.

As a key member of the Marketing team, the successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on campaign management, using customer insights, performance data, and market trends to identify growth opportunities and continuously improve marketing outcomes.

The role also provides leadership and development support to the Performance Marketing Executive, championing best practice across performance marketing and social media activities.

Operating within a regulated financial services environment, the Performance Marketing Lead will ensure all marketing communications align with brand standards, regulatory requirements, and governance processes, while delivering engaging customer experiences that support business growth and commercial objectives.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead the paid search strategy, implementation, and optimisation programme in partnership with the appointed digital marketing agency, ensuring campaigns deliver against customer acquisition and commercial growth objectives.
  • Own the paid social strategy and end-to-end campaign delivery, including audience targeting, creative briefing, performance monitoring, testing, and ongoing optimisation.
  • Manage the affiliate marketing programme for Charles Stanley Direct Online Investing, working closely with agency partners and the Performance Marketing Executive to maximise channel performance and support wider marketing objectives.
  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of app marketing campaigns across paid channels, while collaborating with internal teams to strengthen owned and earned media activity.
  • Partner closely with Brand and Creative teams to ensure all campaign messaging and creative assets align with brand guidelines, audience needs, and financial promotions requirements.
  • Manage and develop relationships with performance marketing agency partners, ensuring accountability for delivery, performance, innovation, and return on investment.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the Performance Marketing Executive, including oversight of social media strategy, planning, and execution.
  • Work collaboratively with the Analyst and Reporting Manager to ensure robust campaign tracking, insightful reporting, and data-driven optimisation recommendations.
  • Support the Digital Marketing Manager (Website & Martech Lead) with website enhancements, SEO initiatives, and marketing technology improvements.
  • Contribute to the delivery of email marketing campaigns, customer communications, and GDPR-compliant marketing activities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of RJWM's products and services, competitor activity, emerging market trends, audience behaviours, and industry best practice.
  • Ensure all marketing activity complies with relevant regulatory requirements, financial promotions standards, and internal governance processes.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and performance excellence across marketing activity.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience within the UK financial services sector, ideally wealth management, investment management, or a related industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a digital or performance marketing role, with a broad skill set and willingness to support wider marketing initiatives when required.
  • Advanced expertise in PPC and paid social campaign management.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable results across awareness, engagement, acquisition, and conversion campaigns.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven approach, with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience driving commercial growth through performance marketing activity.
  • Experience managing and influencing third-party agencies and external partners.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous people management, coaching, or leadership experience, with the ability to develop and inspire others.
