An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sous Chef to join the team at a well-established 2 AA Rosette restaurant on the outskirts of Billericay. Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll help deliver exceptional food using fresh, seasonal ingredients while maintaining the high standards expected of an award-winning kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for a Sous Chef or an ambitious Junior Sous Chef looking to progress within a quality-led restaurant.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
  • Lead the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence.
  • Prepare and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
  • Assist in creating seasonal menus and daily specials.
  • Train, mentor and develop junior chefs.
  • Manage stock, ordering and food cost control.
  • Ensure all food hygiene and health safety standards are maintained.
  • Help maintain the high standards associated with a 2 AA Rosette kitchen.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef.
  • Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Passion for food and cooking.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards.
