We have a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-known restaurant and spa in the beautiful Essex countryside, which has an excellent reputation for their fine food and service. The restaurant is well regarded in the area for their level of service and culinary delights. They cater for a variety of clientele, with their ever-changing menus designed for healthy living.
We are looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated professional chef with a sound knowledge of modern British cuisine and good all-round kitchen skills, attention to detail and a real passion to keep the standard of food to a high standard. You will ideally come from a high standard restaurant or have experience working in small hotels to be suitable for this role. You will need to have experience of kitchen management, rotas, GPs, and recruitment.
The ideal Head Chef will have a real passion for high level cuisine and fantastic food presentation, whilst being able to work well with the current brigade. They will be innovative with concepts and ideas, always looking to better the current standard whilst remembering their target audience. They should also be looking to grow and develop alongside this blossoming business.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Head Chef
- Strong leader
- Deep understanding of local ingredients
There is a mixture of shifts: 7am-4pm, 11am-8pm, 12pm-9pm. Benefits include 1 week off at Christmas and discount on stays. You can use the on-site gym. Due to location, a car driver is essential as no public transport is nearby. The venue can be easily accessed from Billericay, Brentwood, Romford and Grays.
