This busy, high-end restaurant located on the outskirts of Colchester, Essex, is known around the county for their fine food and fantastic atmosphere. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef to join their talented brigade and continue the high reputation they have in Essex. They cater for a variety of clientele and local tourists. This restaurant has a highly regarded menu, which is accompanied by a regularly changing specials board. The restaurant has been awarded numerous accolades for their achievements.
As Sous Chef you will be able to demonstrate a 1-2 Rosette level background and have a flair and originality to bring to the team. The ideal Sous Chef must be a competent all-rounder, able to cover all sections and deputise for the Head Chef in his absence and have knowledge of stock taking, GPs and hygiene legislation. The ideal Sous Chef will have a real passion for high level cuisine and fantastic food presentation, whilst being able to work in a team; they should also be confident in taking their own initiative. They will be innovative with concepts and ideas, always looking to better the current standard whilst remembering their target audience. They should also be looking to grow and develop alongside this blossoming business.
Working Hours & Time Off
- 40 - 45 hours a week over 4 - 5 days.
- 2 days off each week on Mondays and Tuesdays.
- A mix of shifts including 7.30am till 3pm, 9am till 4pm, 4pm till 11pm, 9am till 11pm with a two-hour break.
- Closed on 25 & 26 December each year.
