Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to work in a school near Woodbridge.

This is a great opportunity for a reliable and hardworking Catering Assistant to join a friendly school catering team. You will assist with the preparation and serving of meals to pupils and staff, while maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and meal service
• Serve food to pupils and staff
• Help with setting up and clearing dining areas
• Wash up and maintain a clean and tidy kitchen
• Follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Assist with stock and general kitchen duties
• Work effectively as part of the catering team
• Provide a friendly and professional service at all times

Requirements

• Previous catering, kitchen or food service experience is desirable
• Experience working in a school, care home, restaurant, café or similar environment would be an advantage
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Able to work in a busy environment
• Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
• Enhanced DBS is required, or you must be willing and able to obtain one
