We are recruiting for an experienced Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team of a popular café/restaurant in a picturesque village on the outskirts of Colchester.

This is a great opportunity for a chef looking for a quality daytime role, working with fresh, seasonal produce in a busy but supportive kitchen.

The Role

Working as part of a small brigade of 2–3 chefs, you’ll be responsible for running your section and producing consistently high-quality food.

The menu focuses on fresh, seasonal ingredients with modern British influences.

You’ll ideally have experience in a similar fresh-food environment and be confident across different sections.

Key Responsibilities

• Run your section during service
• Prepare and cook fresh, seasonal food to a high standard
• Support the senior chefs with the daily running of the kitchen
• Maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Assist with stock control, ordering and deliveries
• Ensure food is labelled, stored and rotated correctly
• Work effectively as part of a small team
