An award-winning wedding and events venue is seeking an experienced Wedding Planning Manager to lead its three-person planning team and oversee the couple journey from booking through to post-wedding follow-up.

Hosting approximately 185 weddings a year, the venue offers a fast-paced, varied role for a confident leader who combines exceptional organisation with a warm, personal approach to service.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and motivate the wedding planning team
  • Manage the full planning journey for couples, including meetings, updates and final details
  • Prepare wedding schedules, layouts, table plans and event documentation
  • Coordinate menu tastings and liaise with couples, suppliers and venue departments
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, deadlines and planning information
  • Raise invoices, monitor deposits and outstanding payments, and complete post-event administration
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, Catering and Housekeeping
  • Support wedding-day operations during peak periods and team holidays
  • Contribute to Open Days, supplier showcases, menu-tasting evenings and other events

About you

  • Proven experience in wedding planning, ideally within a hotel or events venue
  • Experience leading or managing a team
  • Excellent administration, communication and attention to detail
  • Confident managing multiple events, deadlines and client expectations
  • Commercial awareness and a natural focus on guest experience
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends
  • Full driving licence and access to a car are essential
  • Familiarity with wedding venue CRM or hotel management systems is an advantage

The role is primarily focused on planning and team leadership, with occasional wedding-day operational support. Rotas are planned three to four months in advance.
