Economic incentives, environmental pressures, and regulatory shifts are driving a global move toward the circular economy. Consumers and businesses are already moving away from rigid ownership models in favour of more flexible, affordable access. Yet while big tech has embedded subscriptions in everything from music to software to storage, the $1.5 trillion electronic device market remains deeply underserved. Raylo is the subscription infrastructure for the world's leading electronics brands, powering the circular economy by making devices more accessible, affordable, and flexible for consumers and businesses.
We enable the world’s leading electronics brands to shift from single-use to circular, customer-centric business models. We’re at £70m ARR, profitable, growing fast, with 200,000+ active subscriptions across consumers and small businesses. Customers trust us too, with a 4.5/5 Trustpilot rating from more than 20,000 reviews. For customers, the experience is simple: subscribe to a device, get support throughout, upgrade when you want, and return it when you’re done. Behind that sits a sophisticated fintech platform powering device subscriptions end to end: credit and fraud decisioning, lifecycle operations, and the financing engine that lets brands offer subscriptions without using their own balance sheet. No one else has built the full infrastructure to run electronics subscriptions at scale.
AI is changing what small, ambitious teams can build. Companies that embrace it will define the next decade. Raylo is uniquely placed to benefit. We combine proprietary technology and data with the orchestration of physical assets, operating across credit, fraud, pricing, logistics, refurbishment, resale and customer care. With AI improving every cycle, our moat deepens with scale. At Raylo, AI is woven into how we work every day. We don’t ration access or hedge our bets. Our people use the best models and tools, and we expect them to do things that weren’t possible a year ago. Processes that used to be good enough are being rebuilt. Teams are replacing spreadsheets with bespoke tooling, and anyone can query our data layer in plain English and get a real answer in seconds. We give every team their own hackathon: a chance to step back, start with a blank sheet, and ask: if we were starting today, how would we do this? The more we automate, the more human judgement matters. AI gives people back time, and we expect them to spend it on the things no model can replicate: conversations, trust, craft and team judgement. We hire to a high bar. You’ll work with people who push you, raise your game and expect you to do the same. We want every person at Raylo to do the best work of their lives, and enjoy doing it.
Core Values
- Be deeply curious – We thrive on innovation through diverse approaches, views, and people.
- Walk in your customer’s shoes – To build the best products and make the best decisions for the long term, we must figure out what our customers need, not just what they want.
- Focus and execute – We have a big vision, but we believe in nailing the most important problems first.
- Be gritty – Only gritty teams succeed. Our individual ownership, passion, and perseverance mean we’re a team through thick and thin.
What to Expect
Raylo's Performance Marketing team is at the heart of subscriber growth. Paid social is already a strong-performing channel, but the opportunity ahead is substantial. Marketing spend is scaling materially, OEM partnerships with major global brands are creating new campaign demands, and the business is preparing for US expansion. This isn't a role to maintain the status quo. It's a role to build something meaningfully better. Taking ownership of paid social strategy and execution across Meta, scaling full-funnel activity, running structured creative testing, and briefing the creative agency with rigour and speed. You'll be refining the mid-funnel measurement framework, identifying what's working and why, and translating that into a roadmap you can act on. You'll collaborate closely with brand, organic social, influencer, data, and commercial teams, this is a role that sits at the centre of a lot of activity, and requires someone who communicates clearly and builds relationships quickly. Your work will directly impact Raylo's commercial growth goals. In the short term, that means taking ownership of and optimising our current activity. Longer term, you'll be the strategic lead for paid social; expanding channel mix and setting direction.
What You’ll Do
- Own paid social end-to-end – strategy, creative direction, execution, and performance, primarily across Meta at present.
- Launch and manage paid social campaigns for OEM partnerships – building repeatable playbooks for partner activity and contributing directly to both partnership KPIs and Raylo's brand credibility.
- Brief our creative agency – run structured testing sprints, and iterate quickly on what the data tells you.
- Build and run a rigorous testing engine – designing test roadmaps that go beyond creative formats to include audience, messaging, and funnel mechanics.
- Refine our mid-funnel measurement framework alongside other members of the marketing team to improve attribution, understand the customer journey with greater precision, and make better-informed budget decisions.
- Work cross-functionally with brand, organic social, influencer, product, and commercial stakeholders.
- Contribute paid social recommendations for market expansion – providing clear, data-backed input on channel approach, audience strategy, and budget phasing.
- Use AI tools to streamline workflows and raise the bar on how the team operates.
- Report performance to senior stakeholders clearly, with a view on both results and what's next.
You’ll Succeed with
- 3-5 years in paid social – managing annual budgets of £500k+ with clear commercial accountability.
- A track record of improving CAC or ROAS – and taking ownership of financial metrics.
- Background in B2C financial products – high value products, or products involving credit decisioning.
- Strong hands-on skills across Meta Ads, GA4, and analytics tools like Looker or Tableau.
- Experience briefing and managing creative agencies – with structured, data-informed feedback.
- The ability to balance creative instinct with analytical rigour – and translate one into the other.
- Real examples of using AI to improve marketing workflows – not just an interest in it.
- Strong cross-functional communication and the ability to influence beyond your immediate team.
