About Rayden Engineering Limited: Rayden Engineering Ltd is a Mechanical & Civil Engineering Company, based in the East Midlands of England; specialising in the pre-fabrication, welding and installation of pipework systems of a wide variety of alloys. We are currently executing major contracts nationwide for major oil & gas companies that include AGIs, pipelines and major civil works.
Procurement plays a vital role in keeping these projects moving. The right materials, plant, suppliers and information need to be in the right place at the right time and this role helps make that happen.
We are looking for a Procurement & Stores Coordinator to join our growing procurement function. This is not simply an administration role or a purchase order processing position. Working closely with the Senior Buyer, you will support procurement, supplier management, materials coordination, stores integration, stock control, plant coordination, data management and procurement systems.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- You will support the procurement and stores function across live projects, workshop activity and day-to-day business operations.
- Procurement & Supplier Support: Expedite deliveries and keep project teams informed of progress. Support supplier performance monitoring and maintain procurement documentation. Track materials from enquiry and order stage through to delivery on site. Assist with stock accuracy, replenishment requirements and inventory control. Support plant, equipment and asset movements across projects and locations. Help connect purchasing activity with stores processes so information is accurate and easy to use.
- Data, Reporting & Systems: Maintain live procurement trackers and keep information current. Update ERP systems with accurate purchasing, supplier, stock and project data. Support procurement reporting, spend visibility and operational dashboards. Identify gaps, duplicated effort or inefficient processes and help improve them. Support the development of better procurement, stores and materials control systems.
Skills & Experience We’re Looking For:
- We are looking for someone who is organised, curious and comfortable using technology to make work easier, faster and more accurate.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data, trackers and reports.
- Experience using ERP, stock control, procurement or business management systems.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Clear communication skills with suppliers, colleagues and project teams.
Who This Role Will Suit:
- This role could suit someone already working in procurement, purchasing, stores, materials control, supply chain or plant coordination who wants more variety and progression.
- Assistant Buyer, Buyer or Purchasing Administrator
- Stores Coordinator, Materials Controller or Supply Chain Administrator
- Plant Coordinator or plant hire professional
- Someone from a builders merchant, civils merchant, engineering distributor or industrial supplier
- A motivated candidate from construction, engineering, utilities, infrastructure or manufacturing supply chains
You do not need to know everything on day one. We are more interested in someone with the right mindset: accurate, organised, willing to learn and keen to help build better ways of working.
What Makes This Role Different:
- This is a chance to be part of a procurement function that is developing, modernising and becoming more integrated with live project delivery.
- The successful candidate will help improve how procurement, stores, stock control, plant and project information work together.
- Variety across procurement, stores, materials, plant and systems.
- Exposure to major engineering and infrastructure projects across the UK.
- Support and day-to-day learning from the Senior Buyer.
- Room to grow as the procurement function continues to develop.
- Training, support and exposure to experienced procurement and project teams.
- The chance to contribute to continuous improvement across procurement and stores.
- Career development as systems, processes and the team continue to evolve.
Competitive salary and benefits package. If you are looking for a role where you can support live engineering projects, work with suppliers and stores, build better systems and develop your procurement career, we would like to hear from you.
Salary: Competitive salary plus benefits package.
