Rayden Engineering Ltd is a Mechanical & Civil Engineering Company, based in the East Midlands of England, specialising in the pre-fabrication, welding and installation of pipework systems of a wide variety of alloys. We are involved in the installation of Cross-country Pipelines and Pipeline Diversions (up to 30) and Above Ground Installations (AGIs). Our continued success and growth necessitates the appointment of an additional experienced estimator.
Rayden Engineering Ltd prides itself on providing a high-quality service to its customers using a dedicated and committed team. We require an estimator who will have a proven track record in the above-mentioned industries with contracting experience, team ethos, high levels of motivation & commercial awareness, strong IT skills, excellent written & verbal communication skills, exceptional organisation & time management skills, and will be able to demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation, and hence a good understanding of the importance of consistently providing a quality service to our clients.
This is a full-time permanent position based at our Head Office in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
Job Responsibilities:
- Carrying out take-offs and preparation of tender submissions.
- Organise appropriate tender enquiries.
- Administrate correspondence and tender documents.
- Produce accurate and comprehensive estimates in a timely and efficient manner.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous estimating experience in the utilities (gas, water and/or power) and/or pipeline industry.
- Production of tenders/prices, rates from first principles.
- Proven track record of successful bidding and securing projects.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of project management requirements and associated terminology and techniques.
- Good computer skills, proficient with MS Office software including Project.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Your Qualifications and Experience should be:
- HNC or Degree (or equivalent).
- Site-based engineering experience.
- Proven successful estimating experience.
- Considerable variety in types of work priced.
- Good interpersonal skills and an ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Applicants need to be highly organised and self-motivated.
- A minimum of 5 years experience is required.
