Role Description

The Hear Care Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Hampshire.

This is a mobile role involving wax removal using microsuction in all of our Hampshire practices.

Responsibilities include guiding patients through their appointments, offering clear explanations of procedures, and providing compassionate support, particularly to individuals with additional care needs.

The Hear Care Assistant will manage appointment scheduling, maintain accurate records, handle basic equipment care, and help ensure a smooth, efficient patient journey.

The role also includes contributing to a positive team environment, following health and safety guidelines, and maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Wax Removal qualification or be prepared to work toward one
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities to support patients and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team..
  • Competence in manual handling, following safe working practices and health and safety guidelines.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare, audiology, optometry, or care setting is beneficial.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, and maintain accurate administrative records.

  • Willingness to undertake further training and professional development in hearing care.
