Rawles Motorsport Ltd is based in Upper Froyle, Hampshire. The company is the premier UK restorer of the Austin Healey, as well as other marques such as Jaguar, AC, and Aston Martin. You will join and add to a friendly team of professional classic car technicians who are dedicated to delivering the highest standard of classic car restoration and maintenance for our customers. In-house facilities include a well-equipped mechanical workshop, trim shop, panel shop, 2000 HP rolling road dynamometer, and state of the art spray booths.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will:

  • Have strong paint and finishing skills, and at least 5 years experience working with classic cars such as the Austin Healey, E-Type Jaguar, Daimlers, and other 1960s and 1970s marques.
  • Have strong knowledge in solvent base paint systems and finishing.
  • Have colour matching skills.
  • Be able to finish cars to a glass-like finish with perfectly sculptured lines.
  • Have excellent filler skills to produce perfect body cars which are known as the best in the industry.
  • Work with all members of the Rawles Motorsport Ltd team following a restoration through the workshop as a team to restore cars efficiently and to the highest quality.
  • Keep timesheet records that explain clearly and accurately the work carried out to customers’ cars, be able to discuss the work with customers in a clear precise manner and liaise with customers when necessary regarding potential work and work-in-progress to their cars.
