Job Description

Rawlence & Browne , we're looking for an experienced

Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join our growing practice. \n We're a modern, independent firm of accountants who believe that great client service starts with a happy team.

What you'll be doing

\n Your work will include a mixture of bookkeeping and accounts support for a wide range of small businesses, including: \n \n

  • Bookkeeping using cloud accounting software (primarily Xero) \n
  • Preparing and submitting VAT Returns \n
  • Bank reconciliations \n
  • Purchase and sales ledger processing \n
  • Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and tax returns \n
  • Liaising directly with clients by telephone and email \n
  • Helping clients with bookkeeping queries \n
  • General practice administration as required \n
  • No two days are the same, so you'll enjoy a varied workload and the opportunity to develop your skills. \n \n

What we're looking for

  • \n We're looking for someone who: \n \n
  • Has at least 2 years' experience working in an accountancy practice
  • Is confident preparing bookkeeping records and VAT Returns \n
  • Can prepare accounts and tax returns for limited company's \n
  • Has experience using cloud accounting software (Xero experience would be an advantage) \n
  • Has excellent attention to detail \n
  • Is reliable, organised and able to manage their own workload \n
  • Enjoys speaking with clients and providing excellent customer service \n
  • Works well as part of a friendly team \n
  • Has a positive attitude and is keen to learn \n \n
