At Rawlence & Browne, we're looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join our growing practice. We're a modern, independent firm of accountants who believe that great client service starts with a happy team. Your work will include a mixture of bookkeeping and accounts support for a wide range of small businesses, including:

  • Bookkeeping using cloud accounting software (primarily Xero)
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Purchase and sales ledger processing
  • Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and tax returns
  • Liaising directly with clients by telephone and email
  • Helping clients with bookkeeping queries

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience working in an accountancy practice
  • Confident preparing bookkeeping records and VAT Returns
  • Can prepare accounts and tax returns for limited companies
  • Experience using cloud accounting software (Xero experience would be an advantage)

Permanent full-time position (37.5 hours per week)

Office-based role in our Salisbury office
