We are looking for 2 skilled, energetic and motivated kaiako to join our team, working with our Year 4–6 tamariki.
Building strong relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues is important at Rāwhiti, so we are looking for people who connect well with others and create positive, inclusive learning environments where tamariki can thrive.
Experience working collaboratively is an advantage. We are looking for kaiako who are creative in their approach, enjoy working alongside others and are willing to share ideas and contribute to the wider team. We value the strengths, interests and passions our kaiako bring to our kura.
Strong pedagogical knowledge in literacy and mathematics is essential, along with the ability to respond to the diverse strengths and learning needs of our tamariki. Previous experience with the Better Start Literacy Approach would be an advantage.
We have a strong commitment to te reo Māori and tikanga Māori at Rāwhiti. Strengths in these areas, along with a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improving outcomes for Māori ākonga, are important to us. An interest in learning beyond the classroom and contributing to our taiao programme would also be welcomed.
We are looking for kaiako who value relationships, work well as part of a team and are committed to providing great learning experiences for our tamariki.
Due to the nature of these positions, we are seeking experienced kaiako with previous classroom teaching experience. These positions are not suitable for beginning teachers.
