As Production Finance Manager, you will lead the Production Accounting Team and oversee all production finance operations, including AVEC Tax Credit accounting. This is a hands-on, strategic role requiring strong leadership, communication, and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Oversight
    • Lead and develop the Production Accounting team (currently three direct reports).
    • Responsible for financial performance and reporting across all productions to external stakeholders, senior management, and the corporate finance team.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between Production, Corporate Finance, and external stakeholders.
  • Production Finance
    • Review production cashflows, payroll, cost reports, and monthly reporting to external parties.
    • Ensure IR35 compliance and adherence to internal financial controls.
    • Support productions from start-up through closure, including reconciliations and audits.
  • Tax Credits & Compliance
    • Oversee the AVEC tax credit process from budgeting through HMRC submission.
    • Manage cultural test applications and liaise with the BFI and auditors.
    • Maintain tax credit trackers and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
  • Systems & Processes
    • Supervise training on production accounting software, acting as administrator and super user.
    • Maintain up-to-date finance documentation and SharePoint resources.
    • Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with IFRS.
  • Additional Duties
    • Support year-end audits and monthly finance meetings with Production Management and Corporate Finance teams.
    • Provide production accounting support as required.
Candidate Profile
  • Essential
    • 5+ years of senior production accounting experience in TV/Film.
    • Strong knowledge of AVEC Tax Credits, TV Industry, and multi-currency projects.
    • Experience with production payroll, PACT/Equity agreements.
    • Relationships with UK broadcasters and SVOD platforms.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Desirable
    • Experience with PMI and Movie Magic.
    • Strong Excel skills.
    • Strong knowledge of IFRS.
    • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
