Company Description RaviOllie is a specialist producer of a gourmet range of Filled pasta, Croquettes & Arancini. Sustainability and high quality runs through the core of everything we do. We have over 1000 outlets that have our products on their menus as we sell wholesale to pubs, restaurants & hotels all over the country. We are a scaling up the business and are looking for a technical manager with an eye for detail to lead our food safety compliance team.
The role will be to lead our food safety compliance team to acheive our first BRC accreditation. The team consists of a quality assurance technician, a factory floor QA technician and our 3rd party food safety consultent who has got us to 75% of the way to achieving the BRC accreditation. We want you to come in at this point to finish and then maintain the high standards that we strive for.
You will work with our Operations director & Founder (Ollie) to ensure that the standard is being met and maintained

It is a small business with a small team but we're very ambitious to where we can get to. Things are moving fast since we moved to our purpose built facility in May this year so it is an exciting time and there are great progression opportunities for the right person.
Day-to-day tasks include supervising production processes, leading technical investigations, resolving issues on the line, and ensuring robust documentation and traceability. The Technical Manager will coordinate with the NPD team to improve recipes and processes, collaborate with operations and supply chain teams, and manage technical projects to support growth. The role also involves mentoring team members, maintaining strong relationships with external partners (e.g., auditors and suppliers), and driving continuous improvement in product quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills for monitoring production performance, interpreting quality data, and making evidence-based decisions.
- Proven team management experience, including coaching, performance oversight, and fostering a collaborative, safety-focused culture.
- Hands-on technical support capabilities in a food manufacturing environment, with the ability to troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
- Experience in research and development (R&D) for food products, including recipe optimization, process trials, and product improvement.
- Project management skills to plan, implement, and review technical and operational projects within deadlines and budgets.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and relevant UK/EU food regulations; experience with audits and certifications is beneficial.
- Background in food science, food technology, or a related discipline; a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production, quality, suppliers, and customers.
- Attention to detail, commitment to product quality, and a practical mindset suited to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
