Join to apply for the Business Development Manager role at Ravio. We help many of the world’s most innovative and ambitious companies build stronger teams and reach their goals through better compensation. Our real-time data platform brings compensation into the modern age, tracking the market across all compensation types from salary to equity and benefits. We’re passionate about ensuring everyone is paid what they deserve, no matter their background or circumstances.
The Role
You’ll be joining the GTM team that is accelerating Ravio’s expansion by opening new industries and regions and strengthening the quality and depth of our real-time benchmarking data. This role is central to Ravio’s long-term growth, ensuring that our platform continues to deliver meaningful value to both existing and future customers.
Benchmarking data is only as strong as the companies who contribute to it – which means this role focuses on identifying and thoughtfully engaging the right organisations. You’ll use a consultative, relationship-led approach to map the market, build strategic networks, and introduce Ravio across several industries like tech, financial services, high tech, life sciences and others. Your goal is to nurture these relationships, ensure companies are participating in Ravio’s benchmark and collectively work towards unlocking data fit to turn participants into customers.
This is not an aggressive sales role. Instead, success relies on your ability to understand market dynamics, spot opportunities, and influence stakeholders through trust, credibility, and thoughtful engagement. We’re looking for someone with entrepreneurial drive, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to think strategically about how to open new markets.
You will own the entire outreach and engagement process – from market mapping, planning, and initial conversations through to bringing companies into our ecosystem. You’ll work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Product teams to ensure the new segment is successfully activated and the data is released. You’ll have the freedom to run your own "shop" and deliver outcomes in the way you believe will work best.
Given the nature of this role, you are a proactive self-starter, a natural networker, and someone who enjoys targeted, high-impact sprints. You are motivated by building something from the ground up, creating long-term relationships, and helping shape Ravio’s expansion into key markets.
We’re looking for an individual that:
- Is eager to modernise the compensation space and to disrupt a traditional space
- Feels comfortable in actively engaging in the HR & Rewards community and is able to tap in to and invest in their (in)direct network
- Has an entrepreneurial spirit that wants to run their own "shop" and is result driven
- Has the personality and dedication to guide our buyer through their internal stakeholder management and vendor onboarding process
- Ideally has experience in selling to HR and holds a network in this space
Your Key Skills:
- Experience in commercial roles like Sales, Account Management or Customer Success. Preferably in HR tech or HR consultancy.
- Ability to navigate and progress multi-stakeholder deals including HR and legal teams at typically Mid Market or Enterprise companies.
- Strong personality to bring together people in a genuine and entrepreneurial way and get them excited to jump onboard.
What you’ll get:
- The opportunity to be part of the early team of a category-defining company backed by a strong roster of world-class investors
- An inclusive work environment characterised by a high degree of trust, respect and integrity
- The ability to work closely with and learn from the company’s founders as well as a highly ambitious team of smart, mission-driven individuals
- A high degree of autonomy and the opportunity for fast-tracked professional growth
- While we’re very focused at work, we also know how to have fun in the process and don’t take ourselves too seriously
- Competitive compensation with significant upside potential for high performance. And company equity, of course.
- An amazing benefits package for everyone, regardless of their role or level, including generous paid time off allowances as well as enhanced parental leave benefits
