We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer in Catterick to support the delivery of major M&E works on a high-profile project environment. This is a senior, technically strong delivery role for someone who enjoys being close to the work, coordinating subcontractors and site activity, resolving technical queries quickly, and keeping installation quality, safety and programme aligned. You'll work alongside project management and supervision teams to keep work fronts moving and ensure electrical delivery is controlled from install through to commissioning and handover.

They run structured projects with clear processes, strong support functions and a steady pipeline of long-term work.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting electrical delivery from handover through installation, commissioning and close-out
- Coordinating subcontractors, labour and materials to maintain programme and productivity
- Managing day-to-day technical queries, scope clarity and quality standards on site
- Ensuring works are compliant with specifications, drawings and relevant regulations
- Producing and reviewing RAMS, permits and safe systems of work where required
- Working with the wider team on short-term planning, sequencing and lookaheads
- Managing snagging, test documentation, commissioning readiness and handover packs
- Supporting progress reporting, ensuring issues are escalated early and resolved quickly
- Maintaining strong communication across site teams, the client team and supply chain
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in a Senior Electrical Project Engineer / Electrical Project Engineer role within M&E or electrical contracting
- Strong on-site electrical installation knowledge and commissioning awareness
- Confident interpreting drawings/specifications and driving technical resolution on site
- Comfortable coordinating subcontractors and managing multiple priorities in live environments
- Strong documentation habits and attention to detail (QA, testing, handover information)
- Clear communicator with a proactive, solutions-led approach
- Full UK driving licence
- ECS / CSCS (preferred, depending on project requirements)
- SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred)
