What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the pre‑construction process on mechanical services packages
- Managing tender submissions from receipt of enquiry through to final bid
- Overseeing mechanical estimating and cost planning activity
- Coordinating design and specification development during the tender and pre‑contract phase
- Engaging with clients, consultants and main contractors throughout the bid process
- Reviewing tender documentation and identifying key risks and opportunities
- Preparing programmes, method statements and preliminary submissions
- Handing over secured projects to the operational team with full cost and scope clarity
What We're Looking For
- Proven track record in a pre‑construction, estimating or bid management role within mechanical M&E contracting
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical building services, including HVAC, heating, ventilation and water services
- Experience working across healthcare and/or education sector projects
- Confident engaging with clients, consultants and main contractors at a senior level
- Well‑organised and able to manage multiple bids simultaneously
- Degree, HNC or HND in mechanical engineering or building services, or equivalent industry experience
