What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the pre-construction process on mechanical services packages
  • Managing tender submissions from receipt of enquiry through to final bid
  • Overseeing mechanical estimating and cost planning activity
  • Coordinating design and specification development during the tender and pre-contract phase
  • Engaging with clients, consultants and main contractors throughout the bid process
  • Reviewing tender documentation and identifying key risks and opportunities
  • Preparing programmes, method statements and preliminary submissions
  • Handing over secured projects to the operational team with full cost and scope clarity

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record in a pre-construction, estimating or bid management role within mechanical M&E contracting
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical building services, including HVAC, heating, ventilation and water services
  • Experience working across healthcare and/or education sector projects
  • Confident engaging with clients, consultants and main contractors at a senior level
  • Well-organised and able to manage multiple bids simultaneously
  • Degree, HNC or HND in mechanical engineering or building services, or equivalent industry experience
