Set projects up for success from day one. We are partnering with a respected M&E contractor in Warrington to recruit an M&E Pre-Construction Manager. This full-time, permanent role suits someone who enjoys turning briefs into buildable plans, coordinating design and estimating, and producing tenders that stand up on site as well as on paper. A mechanical bias is preferred with a strong building services background.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading pre-construction on a portfolio of M&E projects from enquiry to contract award
  • Coordinating inputs from estimating, design, BIM and operations to produce complete tenders
  • Reviewing drawings and specifications, running buildability checks, and closing out queries early
  • Preparing programmes, prelims, risk registers and method statements that are realistic and usable
  • Driving value engineering that protects performance, quality and maintenance access
  • Managing supplier and subcontractor enquiries and clarifications
  • Shaping bid strategy, authoring technical responses and presenting to clients
  • Planning clean handovers with clear scope, assumptions and deliverables

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong background in M&E contracting within pre-construction, design management or estimating
  • Mechanical bias preferred with sound knowledge of HVAC, plantrooms, distribution and interfaces
  • Comfortable reviewing M&E designs and translating them into clear scope and programme
  • Good grasp of commercial considerations, prelims and typical NEC or JCT requirements
  • Working knowledge of BIM and common data environments such as ACC or SharePoint
  • Confident communicator who can align consultants, suppliers and internal teams
  • Organised, deadline-focused and careful with detail
  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Building Services preferred
