We are currently seeking a Mechanical Estimator in Warrington to support a strong pipeline of mechanical and building services opportunities across the North-West. This is a key pre-construction role for someone who enjoys building accurate, competitive tenders, shaping scope early, and working closely with operations and commercial teams to ensure projects are set up properly from the outset.

What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing mechanical estimates and tender submissions for building services projects
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents to confirm scope and pricing strategy
- Completing take-offs and building labour, plant and material costings
- Issuing supplier and subcontractor enquiries, analysing returns and ensuring best value
- Producing clear clarifications, exclusions and assumptions to reduce commercial risk
- Supporting value engineering by identifying alternatives that improve cost, programme or buildability
- Attending tender meetings, site visits and internal adjudications where required
- Producing structured handovers for delivery teams once work is secured
- Maintaining pricing records, supplier information and estimating templates
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as an Estimator within building services or mechanical contracting
- Strong understanding of mechanical packages such as HVAC, ventilation, pipework and plant
- Confident interpreting drawings and specifications and building scope accurately
- Strong Excel skills and a tidy, methodical approach to tender documentation
- Commercially aware, able to identify scope gaps and risk early
- Clear communicator, comfortable liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Able to manage multiple tenders and deadlines without losing detail
