We’re working with a well-established building services contractor in Warrington to find an experienced Electrical Estimator. This is a full-time, permanent role suited to someone who can interpret technical drawings, prepare detailed cost estimates, and support the bid process from initial enquiry to final submission. Our client is a trusted mechanical and electrical building services provider, known for delivering complex projects across sectors including healthcare, education, commercial, and industrial. You’ll be joining a collaborative pre-construction team in Warrington, with access to experienced operational leads and clear opportunities for long-term development.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Producing accurate electrical estimates and cost breakdowns for a variety of M&E projects
- Reviewing specifications, drawings, and tender documentation
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to gather competitive quotations
- Identifying risks, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities
- Collaborating with mechanical estimators and the wider pre-construction team
- Supporting tender submissions and attending meetings as required
- Keeping organised records to support pricing strategies and project handovers
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience as an Electrical Estimator in the M&E or building services industry
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and industry regulations
- Proficiency in reading drawings and specifications
- Experience with estimation software and Microsoft Excel
- Good commercial judgement and attention to detail
- Clear communicator with a proactive mindset
- Relevant electrical qualifications or trade background (preferred)
