The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established M&E contractor based in Warrington and they are looking for an Electrical Contracts Manager to take on a national delivery role within their business. The working pattern is genuinely hybrid - 2 to 3 days on site across the UK, with the remainder split between their Warrington office and home working. This is a client-facing, delivery-led role that suits someone who is comfortable taking full ownership of their contracts and enjoys being at the sharp end of the project. If you have a solid electrical background and are looking for a role with real variety across a high-quality, blue-chip project base, this is a strong option.

About the Business

Our client is a Warrington-based M&E contractor with a full integrated service offering that spans mechanical, electrical, HVAC, design, planned and reactive maintenance, and a 24/7 service desk. They deliver across commercial, food and drink production, FMCG manufacturing, industrial and R&D pharmaceutical environments, and their client base includes some of the most recognisable blue-chip brands in the UK and internationally. Their approach is built around long-term partnerships rather than single transactions - they work closely with clients from initial design and scoping through to ongoing maintenance and system adaptation. A strong commitment to net zero and sustainable engineering runs through the business, and they are active in helping clients achieve their own ESG and decarbonisation targets. They deliver on what they promise, which is why their client relationships tend to run for the long term.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing electrical contracts from post-award through to practical completion and handover
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, main contractors and consultants throughout the project
  • Leading and managing site-based electrical supervisors, engineers and operatives
  • Developing and maintaining contract programmes, monitoring progress and managing any delays
  • Overseeing commercial performance including valuations, variations and subcontract procurement
  • Ensuring all works are delivered safely, in compliance with current health and safety legislation
  • Attending site visits and progress meetings nationally as required (2-3 days per week)
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of delivery processes and client reporting

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager within M&E contracting
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services and installation
  • Experience delivering projects within FMCG, food and drink, industrial or pharmaceutical environments would be advantageous
  • Confident managing client relationships and leading project meetings
  • Commercially aware with a solid understanding of contract management and variation control
  • Comfortable with regular national travel as part of the role
  • Relevant electrical trade background or engineering qualification

What's on Offer

  • Salary of £65,000 - £75,000 depending on experience
  • Bonus scheme
  • Company benefits package
  • Genuine hybrid working pattern - 2-3 days site, 2-3 days Warrington office or WFH
  • Varied national project portfolio with a high-quality blue-chip client base
