The predicted salary is between 55000 - 65000 £ per year.

We are looking for an experienced higher education professional with a first degree (or equivalent) and a higher degree in a relevant discipline, alongside a recognised HE teaching qualification and HEA Senior Fellowship (or higher). The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous professional development and a proven record of enhancing learning and teaching practice. They will bring academic credibility and expertise in leading teaching and learning projects, driving positive organisational change, and delivering initiatives that improve teaching quality, student experience, employability, and academic achievement.

Experience of implementing technology‑enhanced and blended learning approaches is essential, together with a sound understanding of contemporary higher education policy and practice, including the Teaching Excellence Framework, creative pedagogy, widening participation, inclusive education, and strategies that support student success, retention, progression, and employability, particularly for under‑represented groups.

Responsibilities

This role supports the enhancement of learning, teaching and academic practice across the University by contributing to the implementation of Ravensbourne's Learning with Industry Framework and other strategic learning and teaching initiatives. Working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners, the postholder will drive improvements in student experience, satisfaction, retention, progression and graduate outcomes. Key responsibilities include supporting quality enhancement and assurance activities, promoting innovative and technology‑enhanced teaching practices, fostering academic communities of practice, and managing and contributing to staff development programmes, pedagogic networks and knowledge exchange activities. The role also supports the exploration and adoption of emerging technologies and learning environments that enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement.

The postholder contributes to institutional planning, operational priorities and resource management while participating in relevant committees, working groups and collaborative projects. They are expected to uphold Ravensbourne's values, educational ethos, policies and regulatory requirements, including commitments to equality, diversity and inclusion, health and safety, sustainability, and professional standards. The role requires active engagement in learning and teaching initiatives that widen participation and support under‑represented groups, and a flexible, collaborative approach to undertaking duties that contribute to the achievement of the University's strategic objectives.
