The Role
As a Department Administration Officer you will play a crucial role in providing effective administrative support to academic departments to enable the delivery of an excellent student experience. In this role you will support the course team with contracts, procurement, meetings, and responding to a diverse range of queries from course teams and professional services departments. You will work collaboratively with the academic, registry, finance and human resources teams to ensure alignment of processes across the departments.
The role is 0.8FTE, 28 hours per week and we would consider working patterns over four or five days.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in supporting academic departments with a diverse range of enquiries, providing professional customer support.
The role requires effective organisation, prioritisation and time management skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to build strong working relationships with both staff and students. The role holder will be a proactive problem solver who is able to adapt, manage conflicting priorities and has excellent communication skills.
