Due to on-going growth, our client is looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their well-established and respected engineering organisation, with a growing and stable client base in the electrical / mechanical service industry, serving large manufacturing and utility organisations across the UK.

Reporting to the Team Leader, your role will be to work as part of a team both in their workshop and occasionally on customer sites. You must be able to dismantle and assemble a range of rotating equipment, especially pumps. Occasionally working on customer sites around the UK but primarily within the Northwest of the UK, applicants must be flexible as from time to time you may be required to stay overnight to fulfil customer requirements, attend training and you must hold a full UK driving license. The working hours are 37.5 per week Mon- Fri, 8:30am – 4:30pm with occasional overtime.

Roles & Responsibilities (Day to Day):

  • Use of all standard workshop machinery.
  • Accurate recording of information and observations on internal job cards.
  • Dismantling and re-assembling of rotating machinery and equipment.
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are correctly stored and maintained.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Time served or have at least five years commercial industrial experience.
  • Must have experience of rotating equipment, especially pumps.
  • Good understanding of the Electro-Mechanical Industry.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

The role comes with a very competitive salary of £42,000 per annum depending on experience, plus premium overtime rates, together with company pension, 23 days holiday per annum plus Bank Holidays.
