We are looking for an Accountant to join a well-established accountancy practice operating across Wigan and the surrounding areas.
Our client works in partnership with their clients across a broad range of sectors ranging from individuals and partnerships to small and medium sized limited companies. They have a close-knit team of skilled and knowledgeable staff with extensive experience in helping businesses through the services they offer, including company accounts and tax returns, full payroll services, bookkeeping, VAT returns and self-assessment returns.
The working hours are 9am – 5pm (Mon-Thurs), 9am 4pm (Friday), 35hrs per week, with flexible working arrangements.
The Role Will Include, But Not Limited To
Preparation of accounts for a variety of owner-managed limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
Preparation and completion of personal and corporation tax computations with precision.
Weekly and monthly bookkeeping for a varied range of clients.
Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
Preferred Skills And Qualifications
Recent experience in a variety of accounting software, such as Sage, Xero and Quickbooks.
Will be a minimum of AAT Level 4 qualified
Have a sound understanding of practice accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and good IT skills, particularly using MS Office.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
Strong communication and client service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
