We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Repair Technician to provide essential maintenance support across a portfolio of care and nursing homes throughout Birmingham and the surrounding areas.

The Role
Working across multiple healthcare sites, you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring buildings and facilities remain fully operational while delivering a high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance and repair work across multiple care and nursing home locations.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine inspections.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime.
- Undertake plumbing, electrical, carpentry, decorating, and general building maintenance.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, breakdowns, and emergency repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used.
- Build positive working relationships with care home managers and staff.
- Travel between sites across Birmingham and the surrounding areas as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who is practical, dependable, and capable of working independently.
Essential Requirements
* Recognised trade qualification such as
- Electrician
- Plumber
- Carpenter/Joiner
- Mechanical or Building Maintenance qualification
- Or another recognised trade qualification
- Previous experience within facilities maintenance, property maintenance, building services, estates maintenance, or as a multi-skilled maintenance technician.
- Good knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Professional and approachable attitude when working within healthcare settings.
Experience within healthcare, care homes, nursing homes, hospitals, supported living, housing associations, or commercial facilities would be highly advantageous.
