We’re currently recruiting for an Empty Homes Manager to join our Repairs team.
What you’ll achieve in the role: The overall purpose of this role is to lead on managing voids, coordinating repairs, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, whilst delivering exceptional customer service and maximising the efficiency of the operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee the process of preparing vacant homes for new tenants, ensuring properties are refurbished and repaired to Raven’s standard, acknowledging any reasonable adjustments required.
- Lead the Voids team and other employees on a day-to-day basis, and to develop and implement strategies to reduce void times and optimise the use of resources.
- Set and manage customer expectations around how properties should be left and what they will be responsible for if left below Raven’s standard.
- Ensure that all vacant homes comply with relevant health and safety, building, and fire safety regulations prior to re-letting.
- Build strong working relationships with external partners, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure the smooth and timely handover of properties.
- Manage budgets associated with void works, seeking cost efficiencies without compromising quality.
What you’ll bring to Raven: For this role, we are looking for someone with the following:
- Knowledge to effectively scope and instruct repair works.
- Strong customer service ethos, with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with tenants and colleagues.
- Experience managing, leading, and developing effective teams, and contractors.
- Able to demonstrate experience and expertise in the construction industry.
- A full, clean driving licence.
