We’re currently recruiting for a Disrepair and Insurance Surveyor to join our Surveyor team. You’ll need a strong understanding of housing construction, maintenance, and building pathology.

Responsibilities
The overall purpose of this role is to ensure the safety, compliance, and maintenance of Raven Housing Trust’s housing stock by effectively managing legal disrepair cases and insurance claims.
- Manage a caseload of legal disrepair and insurance cases from start to finish, ensuring timely and professional handling of each case
- Liaise with solicitors regarding legal claims, including preparation of any required documentation
- Inspect properties, diagnose issues, consult with customers, prepare specifications, and order/procure works and materials
- Deliver proactive, sensitive, and customer-focused service to resolve complaints, improve satisfaction, and ensure positive case outcomes
What you’ll bring
For this role, we are looking for someone with the following:
- Strong understanding of housing construction, maintenance, and building pathology
- Strong diagnostic and building surveying skills specific to housing stock
- IT proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and use of housing management systems
- Experience in a surveyor, property maintenance, or similar technical role
- Proven ability to manage and document property repair cases independently and accurately

DBS clearance will be required for this role.
