The Role
We are looking for an experienced Integration Engineer to help lead clients through the integration process, but to also line manage other Integration Engineers and to drive process improvements within this area. Within our Integrations team, you will be working alongside a Project Manager on individual client integrations, understanding how to guide clients to ensure they get the best possible performance from Ravelin. You will also be looking to drive innovation in the Integration Engineer role, to improve repeatability and scalability. In this role, you will be working closely with our internal data engineering, machine learning and fraud analysis teams, being a bridge between them and our clients.
Responsibilities
- Act as a leader in establishing and developing best practices for Integration Engineers.
- Support the Director of Integrations on initiatives around data quality and integration reviews.
- Line manage a number of Integration Engineers, supporting and coaching them in their role.

- Proactively carry out regular data quality checks and data wrangling throughout the integration process.
- Stay ahead in client communications to manage expectations.
- Collaborate with our Data Scientists, Data Engineering and Product teams to decide on the most appropriate approach for the client, based on what the client is trying to achieve.
- Review existing integrations, including following up on changes flagged by the client, fielding questions, and advising on improvements.
- Pragmatic problem solving - getting a client integration across the line often requires getting two very different systems to work with each other.
- Actively promote knowledge sharing within the team, which includes documenting the working methods and specific integration details for each client.
- Build a deep understanding of Ravelin's products and systems.
Requirements
- Around 3 years of experience with line management.
- Experience of process improvement, automation and the challenges these bring (ideally in relation to complex data sets).
- Ability to build strong relationships with different parts of Ravelin and our clients, and to break down difficult concepts into easy language.
- Strong data analysis skills, especially familiarity with BigQuery/SQL.
- Detail‑oriented and tenacious to ensure the accuracy of the data that clients share with us.
- Self‑motivated with high dependability.
- Being able to confidently interact with RESTful APIs.
- General understanding of web and server technologies, including HTTP and JSON.
- Strong documentation skills.
Nice to haves
