The Role

We are seeking a talented legal counsel with commercial experience to join Ravelin. Reporting into the Head of Legal, your experience in commercial transactions and contract negotiation will play a crucial role in supporting the growth and development of the company. The ideal candidate will be able to handle multiple areas of responsibilities autonomously, and demonstrate an excellent balance of critical and commercial judgement.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including order forms, vendor contracts and marketing contracts.
  • Provide advice to various departments within the company, including sales, account management, marketing, and product teams, on a broad spectrum of legal issues related to technology, intellectual property, data protection, and more.
  • Stay up to date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, in order to assist the company's compliance with legal requirements.
  • Maintain various standard agreements/templates.
  • Get involved with special projects as needed, including new product developments and AI projects, while taking into consideration their legal and regulatory impact on the company.

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with around 0-1 years of post-qualification experience in commercial law.
  • Prior experience working in a law firm's technology or commercial practice, and/or as in-house counsel for a tech company, is highly desirable.
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing a variety of commercial agreements.
  • Interest in and understanding of technology-related legal matters, including intellectual property, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Adaptable and open to learning about new technologies and legal developments in the AI industry.
