Oversee and assist in the completion of the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of the building/facility, equipment and machinery, including HVAC, building lighting systems, production department machines, production lines, grounds keeping, security and overall facility appearance.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
- Oversee and assist with the repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment.
- Support the preventative maintenance schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery utilizing MPulse.
- Ensure timely completion of projects.
- Complete inspection and equipment inventory logs.
- Assist the Safety and Environmental team in building and implementing all necessary and required OSHA written programs including lockout/tagout and forklift certification.
- Follow the Distribution Center Preventive Maintenance program.
- Provide and oversee emergency/unscheduled repairs of production and warehouse equipment and perform scheduled maintenance repairs.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Detect faulty operations and report those and any unusual situations to the proper department and upper management.
- Assist with coordinating the regular preventive maintenance on machines, and other equipment as indicated in the Preventive Maintenance program.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Able to perform Mig/Tig follow up in a timely manner and resolves issues.
- Act with integrity demonstrates responsible ethical and honest behavior in all tasks and responsibilities.
- Motivates self and others to accomplish important objectives despite a complex environment and multiple demands; creates a sense of urgency and appropriately delegate.
- All other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager and General Manager.
Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years’ experience within the manufacturing field using high speed production equipment.
- Prior experience with or working knowledge of building maintenance equipment.
- Knowledge and experience in machine shop, welding, fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics and troubleshooting.
- Good level of computer literacy.
- Ability to handle pressure in a positive manner.
- Promotes a positive, professional image.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Committed to continually improving the way things work.
- Must have and maintain a current driver’s license.
Competencies; Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA)
- Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office.
- Must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- All injuries regardless of severity must be reported to your Supervisor/HR immediately.
Physical Requirements / Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, squat, bend, climb, carry, and reach as required.
- The employee must follow company safety policies and procedures.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
