We're looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Electrician to join our engineering team. You'll play a vital role in maintaining and improving the reliability of our manufacturing plant, helping to keep production running safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician who enjoys fault finding, problem solving, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on manufacturing equipment and plant systems
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities
- Respond to breakdowns and minimise production downtime
- Maintain and troubleshoot motors, inverters, drives, sensors and control systems
- Fault-find on PLC-controlled machinery and automated equipment
- Assist with projects, upgrades and installation of new equipment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant reliability and performance
- Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately
- Work safely in accordance with company procedures and electrical regulations
- Support root cause investigations and corrective actions following equipment failures
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with a proactive approach to maintenance. You'll be:
- An experienced electrician with industrial or manufacturing experience
- Skilled in electrical fault finding and diagnostics
- Comfortable working with automated equipment and control systems
- A practical problem solver who can work independently and as part of a team
- Safety focused and committed to following procedures
- Flexible and willing to support operational requirements
- Fluent in spoken and written English
Essential Qualifications
- Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
- Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- Experience working within an industrial or manufacturing environment
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent)
- PLC Programming or advanced automation training
- Fault-find on PLC-controlled machinery and automated production systems
- Knowledge of PLC system and industrial automation
- COMPEX, ATEX or industrial process industry experience
- Experience with variable speed drives and industrial automation
Hiring Information
This role is based on site in King's Lynn. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager, RBS King's Lynn. This role is Mon-Fri 37.5hrs per week with rotational call for additional payment.
