People Specialist – Luton / Milton Keynes, UK (January onwards)
At RATIONAL, people are at the centre of everything we do. As a People Specialist, you ensure a seamless and high-quality employee experience, combining operational excellence with a continuous drive to improve how we work. You will be part of a wider EMEA People team, working closely with colleagues across countries while acting as a trusted partner to the local business.
Responsibilities
- Support the full employee lifecycle – from recruitment and onboarding to off‑boarding.
- Ensure accurate HR administration, contracts, data quality and time management.
- Take ownership of payroll coordination (including P11D reporting) and travel expense processes (Concur).
- Support salary reviews, benefits administration and employee queries.
- Ensure compliance with HR processes, guidelines and statutory requirements.
- Contribute to HR projects and drive continuous process improvements.
- Support training coordination, development initiatives and succession planning.
Qualifications
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a CIPD qualification.
- Proven experience in payroll and pension administration.
- Very good Office skills; good understanding of HR systems such as SAP, Concur, SuccessFactors (or similar).
- Strong skills in operational HR execution along the employee life cycle.
- Analytical, structured way of working and solution‑oriented thinking.
- High level of social competence and communication skills as well as a strong service orientation.
- Confidence in working with HR data, KPIs and reporting.
- Basic project management skills with the ability to deliver reliably.
- Strong sense of ownership, reliability, and discretion with sensitive information.
- Collaborative, solution‑oriented mindset with a pragmatic approach in an international environment.
