Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of all foods and snacks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of food supplies and freezer/fridge temperatures.
  • Perform all aspects of kitchen duties as directed.
  • Ensure all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately and that the overall cleaning of the kitchen area is carried out effectively.
  • Report to the Cook/Nurse Manager any faulty appliances, damaged equipment or any potential hazard.
  • Participate in staff meetings and mandatory training as required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own.
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage but not essential.
