Join Rathbones as a Regional Marketing Manager and you will play a pivotal role across London, Guildford and Cambridge, where you will work closely with the Head of London Regional Marketing to bring strategy to life at a local level. This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you will embed yourself within the offices, build strong relationships across a large and diverse stakeholder group, and confidently deputise when required.

You will take ownership of delivering impactful, end-to-end marketing campaigns which are primarily focused on events and sponsorships, creating exceptional client experiences for primarily private clients, but also occasionally business owners and professionals. With a strong commercial instinct and the ability to read the room, you’ll translate business needs into meaningful activity. You will also manage and develop team capability and will have one direct report in this role. You will use data insight to shape and optimise campaign delivery while ensuring accuracy, accountability and a seamless execution across a fast-paced and high-profile region.

You will be based primarily in our London office (with hybrid working), but will also travel to spend time with the teams in Guildford and Cambridge roughly once each month. There will also be travel required to attend events.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Build strong, effective and collaborative internal relationships within the regional team and wider marketing teams to ensure we bring the best of Rathbones to all clients and prospects.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Confidence in developing and maintaining strong, effective relationships with stakeholders to drive the understanding of regional approach & support effective delivery of campaigns, strategic partnerships and initiatives.
  • Be confident in deputising for the Head of London Regional Marketing at appropriate meetings, supporting & representing the team.
  • Support the Head of London Regional Marketing in planning, creating and developing campaigns to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Proactively build out and present recommendations to Head of London Regional Marketing.
  • Data-Driven Marketing: Using data driven insights to inform creative campaigns and marketing activity effectively targeting key audience segments, as well as engage and grow our existing client base.
  • Event & Sponsorship Management: Own & lead planning and execution of regional events and sponsorships (virtual and in-person), managing end-to-end logistics, supplier engagement, and hospitality coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, risk assessments, contracts, and GDPR.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Own and lead on strategic partnerships within the region to identify opportunities for the region (and cross regional) and maximise benefits.
  • Act as a key stakeholder for agencies, develop agency briefs and coordinate with external suppliers to effectively deliver on key marketing activations and partnerships, ensuring the highest quality is always delivered.
  • Content Development: Be confident in drafting, proofreading, and editing marketing materials—including collateral and client communications—ensuring alignment with brand tone, compliance & working alongside stakeholders to develop local content pieces to be leveraged across all channels.
  • Budgeting: Work effectively with a budget to activate campaigns. Working alongside Head of London Regional Marketing to actively report and manage budget forecasting, reconciliation, invoicing, and cost negotiation.
  • Reporting: Clear understanding, ownership of and commitment to measuring and reporting on the commercial impact and outcomes of all campaigns undertaken.

About you:

  • End-to-end experience of, and a passion for, managing and executing events and sponsorship programmes aimed at delivering exceptional client experiences for high-net-worth clients and prospective clients.
  • Proven experience in inputting and delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Experience of driving collaboration and coaching other team members to improve skillsets and delivery.
  • Ability to evaluate and provide objective feedback on concepts and creative execution.
  • Superb project management and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, and confident articulation and delivery.
  • Knowledge of importance of brand guidelines and consistency with events and sponsorship activation; ability to map client and prospect journeys.
  • Experience of working and negotiating with suppliers and agencies.
  • Deliver and work to tight deadlines, multi-tasking and ability to time manage own work effectively, as well as providing direct support to peers and others in the Regional team.
  • Understanding & effectively adhere to financial services compliance regulations.
  • Events management and multi-channel digital campaign experience within set budgets.
  • Strong and demonstrable stakeholder management experience, at senior levels with the ability to influence decisions.
  • Previous experience within the Wealth Management Industry and working with high-net-worth clients is ideal, however experience with a financial services environment or a corporate environment is also great.
  • Marketing or business-related qualification desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with Salesforce would be useful, but is not essential.
