This role will provide hands‑on technical leadership across Salesforce development, integrations and platform architecture, working in close partnership with Product, Architecture and an external consultancy during the transformation phase, before assuming full in‑house ownership of the platform and Day‑2 roadmap. The role is a key member of the Salesforce Centre of Excellence, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, compliant and aligned to Salesforce best practice.
What you’ll be responsible for:

- Translate complex business and regulatory requirements into scalable, well‑governed Salesforce solutions, balancing declarative configuration with robust programmatic development.
- Lead hands‑on development across Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows and integrations, setting coding standards and design patterns for the wider team.
- Act as the technical authority for FSC data modelling, including Person Accounts, households, relationship groups, rollups and compliant data sharing.
- Design and govern integrations between Salesforce and downstream/upstream systems using modern API‑led and event‑driven patterns.
- Provide technical leadership during the transformation programme, working alongside a delivery partner and ensuring effective knowledge transfer to the in‑house team.
- Establish and enforce CI/CD, environment and release management standards using Copado, ensuring quality, traceability and auditability.
- Mentor and coach Salesforce Developers/Application Engineers, providing code reviews, design guidance and technical escalation.
- Partner closely with the Product team to shape delivery roadmaps, manage technical risk and prioritise platform improvements.
- Ensure platform solutions support long‑term operational sustainability.
About you:
- Significant experience designing and delivering enterprise Salesforce solutions in complex, regulated environments.
- Deep hands‑on expertise in Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, data model and automation capabilities.
- Strong programmatic Salesforce development skills, including Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL and Flows.
- Proven experience designing and governing Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security, sharing models, governor limits and performance optimisation.
- Experience with Data360 and Marketing Cloud Engagement/Advanced.
- Experience leading development teams and acting as a technical design authority.
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD and release management, ideally using Copado.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions to non‑technical audiences.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.
Preferred:
- Experience delivering Salesforce solutions within wealth management, asset management or financial services.
- Experience with OmniStudio (FlexCards, OmniScripts, Integration Procedures) within an Industry Cloud context.
- Exposure to Salesforce Data Cloud (Data 360) concepts, including data ingestion, identity resolution and activation.
