Join Rathbones as the Assistant Manager – Front of House & Events. This full‑time, permanent role is based in London.
About the Role
Support the Front of House and Events Manager to deliver a consistent, high‑quality Front of House (FOH) and Events service. Responsibilities include reception services, client hospitality, event support, room booking processing, FOH infrastructure, and coordination with facilities, IT, AV and comms.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Lead and support the FOH team in assigned offices, providing training, coaching and daily oversight.
- Manage client hospitality including catering, beverage and event booking processes.
- Oversee reception and meeting room set‑up, clean‑down, audio‑video conferencing requests.
- Ensure FOH infrastructure (hardware/software) is functional and liaise with IT and facilities.
- Contribute to group FOH meetings, cascade information and progress action points.
- Support recruitment, induction and training of new team members.
Reporting & Delegation
- Develop monthly management information (MI) and report to line management.
- Maintain accurate cross‑charging of bookings and adherence to risk‑management policy.
- Lead the team, fostering a no‑blame culture and high‑quality service.
About You
- Strong hospitality sector experience.
- Passionate, self‑motivated team player with continuous improvement focus.
- Experience managing a team of 10 or more.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder relationship skills.
- High attention to detail with great organisational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
