The Role

As an experienced social media leader, you will define, own and develop the group’s social media advocacy efforts. You will be responsible for fostering advocacy among colleagues and other key audiences, driving engagement and inspiration to amplify a positive brand narrative.

Outcomes of the Role:

  • Define and activate a comprehensive social media advocacy strategy to increase positive engagement with our brand and help amplify a positive business and brand narrative.
  • Plan for and deploy a modern and integrated mix of channels and content formats, leading on the strategic development of key social media brand channels, such as LinkedIn.
  • Build and nurture strong communities of engaged stakeholders, helping them become advocates and ambassadors for the brand.
  • Lead on developing and delivering campaigns that support and amplify a range of initiatives from across the business.
  • Enable advocates by delivering the end-to-end planning, curation and production of high-impact, shareable brand content for various social media platforms.
  • Encourage social media advocacy from the top, working with senior executives to build and grow their social media presence.
  • Act as a trusted social media adviser to the business, supporting colleagues while nurturing relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  • Operate social listening and community management tools to moderate, generate and champion community interactions.
  • Define, implement and oversee a rigorous planning, production, monitoring and measurement process for social media content operations.
  • Oversee the reporting on social media advocacy activity, drawing insights to improve the quality of our interactions and content.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in the Wealth and Asset Management industry, and more broadly in the Financial Services sector (this is an advantage, but is not required).
  • Experience with deploying and running social media advocacy tools (this is an advantage, but is not required).
  • Significant experience in social media strategy and activation, with proven success in driving colleague advocacy across social media platforms.
  • A strategic thinker with a solid understanding of how social media integrates with a company’s marketing and communications ecosystem.
  • Tech-savvy and data-driven, with an ability to listen and activate campaigns factoring in a wide range of channels and formats.
  • A solid understanding of creative production principles, with an ability to visually express content with minimal creative team support.
  • Remarkable storytelling, writing and presentation skills, with considerable experience in crafting compelling narratives.
  • Meticulously organised, very attentive to detail and highly flexible with changing requirements.
  • A proven ability to guide and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Switched on, tuned into the world and always on the prowl for opportunities to drive engagement.
